Our content is developed in cooperation with leading oncological research institutes and tumor centers including Berlin Charité and Leipzig University Hospital.

Mika is a certified medical device in accordance with the German Medical Devices Act. To attain this certification, we are required to meet extremely stringent data security standards.

The Mika team strives to continuously develop the app based on the latest research and highest scientific standards. That’s why we collaborate with various institutions on research, information gathering, and mutual support with the goal of providing the best possible digital therapeutic to cancer patients.

Collaborations with research-based pharmaceutical companies primarily benefits patients who rely on medications from these manufacturers. Through their individual access code, they receive a personalized experience linked to their medication, indcluding symptom and side effect management, and more content tailored to where they are in their treatment journey. This information is provided in a separate, private area of the Mika app. These collaborations enable Mika to offer a more personalized experience to patients.

There is no advertising in the app. Neither pharmaceutical companies nor specific medications are highlighted in favorable ways. Information about individual medications is provided to users only after a prescription by an independent doctor.

Mika also offers simple and uncomplicated therapy support, for example through medication reminders and a symptom diary. With the Mika app, cancer patients also have the opportunity to further improve their treatment by voluntarily consenting to the use of their data by research companies. With data from patients, manufacturers can recommend specific dosages on an individual level in the future to achieve better therapy results with fewer side effects.
